The annual supply of this “Blue Gold Channel” has increased from 351 million cubic meters in 2004 to the current 18.34 billion cubic meters. In the past four years, the annual gas supply has maintained an average annual growth rate of 7.6%, and the cumulative transportation volume has exceeded 150 billion. cubic meter.

According to estimates, the 150 billion cubic meters of natural gas delivered by the West-East Gas Pipeline will replace nearly 200 million tons of standard coal and reduce the emission of harmful substances by more than 10 million tons.

As the first company in Shanghai to use the West-East Gas Transmission Source, the special steel plant under the Baosteel Group has gradually dismantled 149 gas furnaces in recent years. The reduction rates of sulfur dioxide and soot emissions are 59.5% and 26.8%, respectively. After the gas workshop was shut down, the company discharged 480,000 tons of waste water every year, and the concentration of wastewater pollution factors decreased, and the surrounding water environment improved significantly.

The steady increase in gas transmission capacity of the West-East Gas Pipeline depends on the continuous innovation of new technologies and management models in the Tarim Oilfield. With the implementation of the “short and fast” exploration and development integration model, and the new technology of “high-tech and excellent” drilling engineering, the Tarim Oilfield has discovered six super-100 billion cubic meters of gas reservoirs in Keshen and Dabei, which is the West Gas East. The loss has added a new source of gas.
